Shawnee County Courts are open with restrictions. Access to hearings are restricted to: Attorneys, parties in cases, people who have been requested to appear, and people who have an appointment. No more than 10 people are allowed to be present in one location at a time

Everyone must maintain a distance of 6 feet apart and wear a facemask until the judge allows removal.




Order Requiring Face Covering and Social Distancing For Court Business


The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the Shawnee County Health Department continue to recommend that all persons wear face masks and maintain social distancing of at least six feet from all other persons in order to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Hearings on Orders of Isolation or Quarantine


Division 3 is handling hearings on orders of isolation or quarantine. We have the capability to conduct remote or in-person hearings on the record as circumstances require. If you need to make arrangements for a hearing on an order of isolation or quarantine under K.S.A. 65-129c, please call Division 3 at 785-251-6320 to speak to the AA.
